Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser
Pmise QN-09
- Cost effective.
- Portable and smart design.
- The Q-switched Nd:YAG laser radiates the light with a specific wavelength in high peak energy pulse
- Hence the light penetrates the tissue only for an ultra-short nanosecond.
- The light is absorbed by the pigment tissue and results in an instantaneous blast, that is Light blasting principle.
Overview
The Pmise QN-09 is a compact Q-switched Nd:YAG laser built for professional tattoo removal, pigment clearance, and laser facial work in clinics, tattoo studios, and beauty centers. It delivers light in extremely short nanosecond pulses at two working wavelengths, which lets a trained operator target ink and melanin deposits while sparing the surrounding skin.
The portable metal-shell design keeps the footprint small and the weight low, so it suits both fixed treatment rooms and operators who move between locations. It belongs to the wider Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser line, sharing the same nanosecond photoacoustic approach used across that family.
For a deeper look at how this class of device handles multi-color ink and repeat sessions, see our guide to the Q-switched tattoo removal machine and our tattoo removal solution. The QN-09 is professional equipment intended for use by trained operators only.
How It Works
The QN-09 works on the principle of selective photothermolysis, the framework Anderson and Parrish set out in 1983. The laser fires very high peak energy in an ultra-short nanosecond pulse. Because the pulse is shorter than the time heat needs to spread into nearby tissue, the energy is confined to the pigment that absorbs it. The pigment particle heats and expands almost instantly, then shatters. This is often called the light-blasting effect.
Once the ink or pigment is broken into fine fragments, part of it is expelled from the skin surface and the rest is small enough for the body's phagocytes to engulf and clear through the lymphatic system over the following weeks. That is why full clearance usually takes a course of sessions rather than a single pass.
Two wavelengths give the device its range. The 1064nm beam penetrates deeper and is absorbed well by dark inks and dermal pigment such as black, blue, and blue-green. The shorter 532nm beam is tuned to red and warmer tones that sit closer to the surface. Used together, the operator can address mixed and multi-color work. An adjustable spot size and water plus air cooling help keep the delivered energy controlled and comfortable across skin regions.
Applications
The QN-09 is a versatile choice for practices that combine ink removal with routine pigment and skin-tone work. Typical applications include:
- Tattoo removal across common colors, including black, blue, brown, and red, plus cosmetic tattoo such as eyeliner and eyebrow
- Benign pigmented lesions, including sunspots, age spots, freckles, and some nevus types
- Laser facial treatments aimed at skin rejuvenation, softening fine lines, refining pores, and helping control oil
It suits dermatology and aesthetic clinics, tattoo studios adding removal services, and distributors serving those markets. It is not a home device. Suitability, settings, and expected results should be judged case by case by a qualified operator after skin assessment.
Key Advantages
- Dual 1064nm and 532nm wavelengths cover a broad range of ink colors and pigment depths from one platform
- Continuously adjustable spot size lets the operator match the beam to lesion area and treatment zone
- Combined water and air cooling supports heat management and patient comfort during a session
- Metal shell aids heat dissipation and adds durability for daily clinic use
- Integrated LED light supports post-treatment skin recovery
- Lightweight, portable build fits small rooms and operators who move between sites

FAQ
What can the QN-09 treat?
It is used for tattoo and cosmetic-tattoo removal, benign pigmented lesions such as sunspots, age spots and freckles, and laser facial work for skin rejuvenation. The dual 1064nm and 532nm wavelengths let a trained operator address both dark inks that sit deeper and red or surface-level tones, so it covers a wide range of common clinic cases.
Is it suitable for all skin types?
Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers are used across many skin tones, and 1064nm in particular is often chosen for darker skin because it targets pigment more selectively. That said, settings must be matched to each patient. A qualified operator should assess skin type and do a test area before a full treatment to reduce the risk of unwanted pigment change.
How many sessions are needed?
Because the body clears the shattered pigment gradually through the lymphatic system, results build over a course of sessions spaced weeks apart rather than in one visit. The exact number depends on ink type, color, depth, and the individual. The operator sets realistic expectations after assessment; deep or multi-color tattoos generally need more sessions.
What about operator training and warranty?
The QN-09 is professional laser equipment and should only be run by trained operators using proper eye protection. Pmise supplies operating documentation and can advise on training and warranty terms for clinics and distributors. Contact our team through the contact page to discuss setup, support, and after-sales coverage for your market.
