Zygomatices presents as macules on the symmetrical distribution of zygomatic areas with black-to-gray, black-to-brown, gray-tobrown pigmentation.

Clinical feature

1. Mostly occurred in Female. Male-to-female ratio is 1:13~18, onset age usually be 16 -40, some will be familial cases.
2. Presents as: black-to-gray, black-to-brown, gray-to-brown;
3. Symmetrical distribution over zygomatic areas, partly over eyelid and nose.
4. 1-5mm in diameter; round, oval or irregularly outlined, well-demarcated macules.
5. Number of macules: several or several dozen, average 10-20;
6. Dose not elevated on or depressed in the skin, has no symptom;
7. No relation with season and sunshine.

Histopathology

Melanocyte that has not migrated completely from the neural crest to the epidermis stays in the dermis during the embryonic stage.

Method of treatment

Because Zygomatices is a dermal melanocytic lesion, so Q-Switched ND:YAG laser is the first choice.
