Normally capillaries are invisible. It only allows one RBC to get across, but due to some reasons such as: ethanol, estrogen, glucocorticoid and chronic photoaging, the capillary caliber enlarged, turns into visible bloodshot.

Clinical Feature

1. About 15-20% people have telangiectasis.
2. Several or dozens of bloodshots can be seen scattering on skin.
3. Sanguinity
4. Usually can be seen on people who carry skin type under Fitzpatrick-III. Rosacea is one of the clinical features of the telangiectasis.

Histopathology

The diameter of capillary in dermal papilla expands to 0.1-1.0mm.
