The PE-01 is an HPT E-light machine built for professional skin clinics and medical aesthetic distributors. E-light works by pairing two energy types that reinforce each other. The IPL side delivers a broad band of filtered light that is preferentially absorbed by melanin in hair and pigmented lesions and by hemoglobin in small blood vessels. That absorbed light converts to heat inside the target while sparing surrounding tissue, the principle of selective photothermolysis first described by Anderson and Parrish in 1983.

The bipolar RF component adds controlled heat to the deeper dermis. Because pre-heating a target with light lowers its electrical resistance, the RF energy tends to concentrate where it is needed, which can allow effective treatment at gentler light levels. This is what makes the E-light approach useful across a wider range of skin tones than light alone.

The distinguishing feature of the PE-01 is HPT. Instead of an uneven burst, each pulse is shaped so its energy stays homogeneous and the value shown on the LCD matches what actually reaches the skin. Steady, repeatable pulses reduce the risk of hot spots and epidermal burns. Interchangeable filters (for hair, vascular, and rejuvenation work) let the operator tune the output band to the indication, and the contact cooling system chills the skin surface at the moment of the shot to keep treatment comfortable and protect the epidermis. Which skin concerns can the PE-01 actually treat?

That said, higher Fitzpatrick types carry more risk of pigment change with any light device. A qualified operator should assess skin type, check contraindications, and perform test spots before treating.

How many sessions do clients usually need?

It varies by indication, skin and hair color, and individual response, so results build over a course of sessions rather than one visit. Hair reduction in particular works only during the active growth phase, so several spaced treatments are normal. Set expectations with each client and follow a treatment plan rather than promising a fixed number.
